Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

Position Summary

The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) provides remote clinical oversight and supervision of our Bachelor’s-level Social Worker (BSW). Responsibilities include periodic chart reviews, oversight of psychosocial assessments and care plans, consultation regarding patient and family needs, and documentation of supervisory activities to ensure compliance with Medicare and Georgia hospice regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review psychosocial assessments, care plans, progress notes, and other clinical documentation completed by the BSW in a timely manner
  • Ensure documentation meets Medicare, accreditation standards, and agency policies 
  • Provide oversight regarding complex psychosocial cases as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA, state, and federal regulations 
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings when requested to provide social work expertise and case consultation
  • Complete patient visits when necessary to support patient care or regulatory compliance

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school. 
  • Active license for the State of Georgia
  • Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance if patient visits are required. 
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation review, and effective communication skills
  • Exhibits strong independent decision‑making skills and applies sound judgment to case‑specific situations
  • Knowledge of hospice philosophy, Medicare hospice regulations, and interdisciplinary care are preferred 

Work Schedule:

  • PRN/As needed (hours vary based on agency needs, supervisory requirements, and documentation review)
  • No guaranteed min/max number of hours per pay period
