Ways You Can Help

Heart of Georgia Hospice is dedicated to never sending a bill to our patients or their families. We believe that there are more important things to focus on during this journey. General donations go into the day-to-day costs of caring for our patients so please consider giving one.

You can make a general donation to Heart of Georgia Hospice by clicking on the PayPal link at the bottom of each page. If you make a donation in memory of someone, please leave the acknowledgement in the “Notes to the seller” section of the PayPal link.

  • PLANNED GIFTS

There are multiple ways you can give to Heart of Georgia Hospice. One such way is through planned gifts. Whether you decide to send a monthly gift or a gift in someone’s memory you can help continue to support families who need Hospice services.

“In Memory Of” is a wonderful way to honor your loved one. Please remember to include the person’s name you wish to honor and your own.

Another way to give is through individual patient expense funds These special funds provide expenses for patients who perhaps don’t have a phone and would not be able to call their nurse in an emergency or because of medical expenses can’t pay their rent or electricity. These funds might sometimes even go to buying gifts for a dying patient’s family at Christmas or enable a patient to go on one last fishing trip. We encourage you to help these patients in any way you can.

You can also support Heart of Georgia Hospice by giving a general donation. Heart of Georgia Hospice never sends a bill to our patients. It is our great privilege to serve those at end of life regardless of ability to pay. It is our mission to serve with care and compassion. You can donate to our general fund by calling us at 478-953-5161 or mailing in to 103 Westridge Dr Warner Robins, GA 31088.

HOW TO VOLUNTEER?

Volunteers

Volunteers help to support many of our efforts, and allow us to better serve our patients.

  • ADMINISTRATIVE WORK

There are multiple ways to volunteer at Heart of Georgia Hospice. Whether your talent or skill is marketing, organization, or even helping to translate our policies to another language we can find a place for you to serve. We encourage each person to think creatively and actively look for ways to serve. Contact Robin today at 478-953-5161 or submit a volunteer application to talk about how you can serve at Heart of Georgia Hospice.

  • CASSEROLE MINISTRY

Another way volunteers can become involved is through Heart of Georgia Hospice’s Casserole Ministry. We provided over 600 casseroles in 2016 to families in our community. Family members become so consumed with the daily care of their loved one they sometimes don’t have time to cook. Heart of Georgia Hospice tries to fill that need through our Casserole Ministry. We have partnered with several churches and individuals who make casseroles for our families in need. If you would like to be a part of this, please contact Robin at 478-953-5161 or submit a volunteer application online.

  • THRIFT STORES

Heart of Georgia Hospice invites you to shop at our two thrift stores conveniently located in the Middle Georgia area. Our thrift stores are a huge part of what helps fund our mission of care and comfort year after year. We also do pickups of large item donations such as furniture. We ask that you please give a 24 hour notice as we depend greatly on our volunteers to help with these services. For daily deals inside the stores and photos of what is currently on our racks, please check out our Facebook page.
