Camp WINGS (When In Need Get Support) is a bereavement camp for children who have lost a loved one. Campers participate in fun, traditional camp activities combined with group grief education and emotional support, led by expert bereavement professionals and trained volunteers.
Any child ages 6-16 can attend Camp WINGS. Potential campers will be required to fill out an application containing personal, bereavement, and medical information. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each application will be reviewed in detail by the Family Support Team and a face-to-face interview is required in order to ensure the best possible experience for every Camp WINGS participant.
This year’s camp will be held November 3-5, 2017. Caregivers will drop off their child/adolescent on Friday, November 3 at 5:00 p.m. and return for a Celebration Ceremony on Sunday, November 5 at 11:00 a.m.
